PRINCIPAL
Mr. Acosta, a licensed Professional Engineer and General Contractor in the State of Florida, is a Principal responsible for the executive and managerial functions. Under Mr. Acosta's leadership, AGC Contractors has substantially increased its revenue and workforce, while considerably expanding its services.
Mr. Acosta brings over 36 years of experience as a General Contractor of multiple residential and commercial projects. He spent the first thirteen years of his career working for the Florida Department of Transportation District VI internal design office on the production of roadway plans from minor design to major reconstruction projects. During the last two years of his career at FDOT, he worked as District VI Roadway Design Project Manager where he was head of an Internal Design Team working on a large number of milling and resurfacing, limiting access facilities and reconstruction projects. He’s working today as the Roadway & Infrastructure Task Manager for the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC). He is a 1985 graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. He is currently a member of the Cuban-American Association of Civil Engineers (C-AACE).
