Roadway Engineer

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Looking for a Roadway Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the design to work in a dynamic work environment. Applicant must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and must become a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida within 3 years of hire date.
Provide solutions at the planning and design stage for Roadway and Maintenance of Traffic Plans. Experience with several government agencies at both the State and Local level is preferred. Familiarity with projects delivered by both Conventional Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build delivery is required.
Ability to work independently within a teamwork oriented environment in the development of contract plans and other design documentation, participate in the development of solutions during proposal stage for conventional and design-build projects, perform post-design services and Quality Control. Experience with FDOT Design Manual, Standard Plans, and AASHTO is required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program and a registered Florida Engineer Intern. Design experience in Roadway Reconstruction, Roadway Milling and Resurfacing, and Maintenance of Traffic Plans are required. Site Civil experience is a plus. Experience in Roadway design software such as Microstation, GuideSigns, AutoTurn, the FDOT Bar Menu, Quantity Manager, Linked Data Manager, etc. is required. Experience with either Autocad (including Civil3D) or Microstation 3D Modeling (OpenRoads) is required. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus.
