The design-build project providing Express Lanes along the Palmetto Expressway.

A&P Engineers was responsible for the design of 9,590’ ground mounted noise wall. Due to the curved alignment, our proposed wall also curved. This curvature meant that our Structural Engineers had to non-standard posts to comply with 150 mph wind velocities. The walls were decorated with elaborate graphics depicting the Everglades fauna and vegetation including the Florida Panther and Saw Palmetto. Aside from this, our other responsibilities included the design of a 143’ permanent anchored steel sheet pile wall for a 16’ metal culvert headwall.
