As the Designer of Record, A&P was responsible for preparing all construction documents (plans and technical special provisions) as part of a JPA between the Florida Department of Transportation and the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department.

As a result of FDOT proposed roadway improvements, the existing 30” aerial cast iron pipe needed to be relocated to the North side of the bridge. Consequently, 110’ were constructed to cross the canal below the water and the additional 875’ were relocated under the pavement.

In this project, we were also responsible for developing, coordinating, and sequencing the construction of the water main relocations with the progression of the roadway work using special MOT along S.R. 90, as well as post-design services and support.
