The Port Miami Tunnel was a key improvement to Miami’s infrastructure which directly linked the Downtown Miami Area and the Port Miami. This major improvement was only made possible by a 43’ diameter tunneling machine built specifically for this project. Ultimately this project’s scope included tunneling under Government Cut, roadway work on Dodge Island and Watson Island, and widening the MacArthur Causeway Bridge.

As a member of the Parsons Brinckerhoff Americas Team, A&P Engineers provided professional services including project management for technical advisory and plan review as well as CEI.

Our dedicated personnel project management ensured that the contractor maintained their obligations to the client while also managing payroll, wage, and training requirements. We also provided highly-trained staff to inspect daily roadway, bridge, and tunneling operations as well as all other related activities.
